There’s no place like home. Or is there?
Many investors pick properties in whatever area they happen to live
in. That's a fabulous strategy if you happen to live in a
great investment market.
We say, “Live where you want to live, but invest where the numbers
make sense.” You may get a lot more bang for your buck by
picking markets where prices, rents, market conditions and other
factors all produce better profits.
But, is it possible that there’s more to investing than simply
return on investment?
We think so. Many investors are interested in things like
privacy, asset protection, lifestyle, and even personal
security.
Of course, to put all of these choices in context, it’s important
to have a broader perspective. A great way to see the bigger
picture is to travel. The next best thing is to talk with
people who travel.
In this episode, we talk with the most interesting “homeless” man
you’ll probably never meet.
Our guest Simon Black is a “perpetual traveler”. He spends
his time traveling the world, seeking opportunities and sharing his
perspectives with people smart enough to listen.
An interesting perspective Simon shares are his observations about
the relationship between global agriculture and opportunities in
real estate investment. So if you’re hungry for unique
investment strategies, this episode will whet your appetite!
